L'Antica Falegnameria B&B
Nestled at the foothills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, just 40 minutes from Parma, lies our B&B, L’Antica Falegnameria (The Ancient Carpentry). This cozy stone rustic building, dating back to the mid-1800s, once served as a carpentry workshop dedicated to repairing and constructing cart wheels. Its location acts as a pivot between the Langhirano area (renowned for producing PDO Parma Ham) and the mountainous regions of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park.
Choosing to stay at L’Antica Falegnameria B&B means immersing yourself in the unspoiled nature of the Apennines, listening to the sounds of the forest, admiring the landscape sculpted by the Parma River, and easily accessing hills and mountains.
The house underwent a complete renovation in 2006, while still retaining an authentic rustic charm reminiscent of a mountain lodge. Upon entering, you'll immediately feel at home in the spacious room surrounded by stone walls and featuring a cozy fireplace where you can relax with a book. The kitchen boasts a rustic ambiance with its traditional wood-burning stove.
At our Bed & Breakfast, a self-service breakfast awaits you, designed to offer you maximum freedom and comfort. In the fridge, you’ll find milk, yogurt, fruit juices, and fresh water. On the table in the breakfast room, there is a well-stocked basket with a selection of treats: biscuits, tarts, cereals, fresh fruit, bread, homemade jams, and our own honey.
For coffee, you can choose between a traditional moka pot for a rich, authentic aroma, or convenient instant coffee.

We are two young guys, Dario and Federica, with a shared dream: to promote and showcase the beauty and products of the Apennine region. Along this journey, Enzo, a true local, assists us day by day in discovering the wonders of nature through the sharing of his passions, such as vineyards, beekeeping, and agriculture.
The B&B is located on the hills of Val Parma, approximately a 40-minute drive from the historic center of Parma, a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy.
In this area, guests will have the opportunity to experience gastronomic adventures by visiting Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma producers just a few kilometers from the B&B. They can also enjoy trekking suitable for all levels in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, with the chance to admire, on clear days, the Gulf of La Spezia from the summit of Monte Marmagna.
Last but certainly not least, guests can explore the magnificent Torrechiara Castle, part of the Castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, located just 15 minutes away.
